Why do I like photography? First of all, it makes me see the world with different eyes. It provides me with a more intense visual experience. I notice small details that are easily overlooked and I find beauty even in ordinary scenes. This makes me pause and wonder and slows down my tendency to be always busy doing things. Photography is also an outlet for my creative mind. A welcome addition to my technical background and training as an electrical engineer. For me, photography makes the world much more colorful. Maybe that is why color is such an important ingredient in my work. I tend to like strong and bold colors including, but not limited to the colorful light shows that nature can provide. Black and white photography has never been my thing. I use photography to show that the chaos that surrounds us is full of structure and geometry. I am always looking for strong graphical elements and compositional lines to share this vision. I am attracted to subjects in nature, animals, and landscapes. I also like travel photography, especially interesting cityscapes.
